How to use this service safely

This service is not for medical emergencies. If someone is seriously unwell, has trouble breathing, or a missed dose could be dangerous, contact emergency services now - 999 in the UK, 112 across the EU, 911 in the US - or go to your nearest emergency department.

We do not give medical advice

Find My Medication does not diagnose, does not recommend a dose, does not suggest a substitute, and never tells you to change your treatment. It only shows what pharmacies have reported about stock and helps you ask one of them to confirm.

Always speak to your prescriber or pharmacist before changing any medication, strength, brand, form or dose. Two products with the same active ingredient are not always interchangeable, and only a qualified professional can judge that for you.

Availability can change before you arrive

Stock moves constantly. Everything you see here is a report from a point in time, shown with a timestamp. A report from earlier today may already be out of date, and anything older than 48 hours is shown as "not known" rather than presented as current.

  • Call the pharmacy, or send a confirmation request, before travelling.
  • A request is not a reservation. Nothing is held for you unless a pharmacy replies to confirm it.
  • Confirmations expire. The expiry time is shown on every confirmed request.

Urgent supply problems

If you cannot find a medication you need soon, contact your prescriber or your usual pharmacy. They can check wholesaler supply, suggest a clinically appropriate alternative, or issue an emergency supply where the law allows it. Do not stop, split or stretch a prescribed medication to make it last without professional advice.

Reporting a problem

If a pharmacy listing looks wrong, or a confirmation was not honoured, tell us through your account so we can follow it up with that pharmacy. See the terms for what we can and cannot do.
